Creating a Property

Properties can be added to ModelSmart using the Property Wizard. A Property is the starting point of any investment analysis or report generation.

Creating a Property using The Property Wizard

1. To create a property, select Properties on the navigation bar and press the Add Property button.

2. You will be directed to the Property Wizard to create a property. There are two methods to add property data:

   • Automated Method (BETA): if the property you are looking to add is currently listed and has a valid MLS® Number, you can copy / paste the MLS® Number from the listing into the respective field in the Property Wizard. The system will attemmpt to retrieve the listing data and populate many of the fields in the wizard. If this method is unavailable, you can manually add all information as described below.

   • Manual Method: you can manually add all the required information by going through the various steps of the Property Wizard

3. Fill in all Property Details. Please provide as much information as available as certain fields are required for optimal Smart Scenario and Report functionality.

4. Add a Property Name and a Description for the property. If you created a property using the Automated Method, the Description field will have populated with the description from the listing.

5. Upload pictures of the property by dragging / dropping images to the boxed region or clicking within the box to launch your system's file selector (maximum 12 images). Once you have uploaded the photo(s), you can select the property thumbnail by clicking on the desired image. A green border indicates the thumbnail has been set.

6. Click the Finish button and your Property is now created. You can now create and add a Scenario to your property
